Live Like You Were Moving

Today I had to do a Spanish project about “The Childhood Of Matt Walton”. I had to find a picture of me when I was younger to use in the project so I had to look through all of the photos that we had. Some of the photos that I saw I could remember almost everything about. The other day I was cleaning my room and I came upon some things that I kept for memories. I had fun looking through all of the stuff. I had things like old journals, projects, certificates and a lot of other stuff. I know that those items are the things that I will keep and look back on to remember some great moments that I had in New York.

Now that I’m moving I take a different prospective on a lot of things. I heard the song “Live Like You Were Dying” by Tim McGraw the other day. I know that it is different to know that your dying than it is to know that your moving but with both you live differently. I act differently now that I’m moving. I know that I don’t have a lot more time living in New York so I want to make the rest of it great. I went to the Winter Classic outdoor hockey game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins on January 1 and one of the reasons that I wanted to go was because I won’t be living near Buffalo for much longer and I wanted to have a great memory for when I’m gone. I paid a lot of money for that ticket that I would have never even considered buying if I wasn’t moving. I have had some good conversations and I want to keep having them with people that I don’t usually talk to that much because I don’t know if I will ever see them again after I move. I have thanked people that I haven’t thanked for the things they’ve done for me. I don’t know what it is like to live like I was dying by I do know what it is like to live like I was moving.
