Two Book Review

I just finished reading two different books in the last day. The first book that I finished was “Angels and Demons” by Dan Brown (author of “The Da Vinci Code”). It was a great read and I just couldn’t put it down. It had a very unexpected ending and Dan Brown does a great job of keeping the suspense very high and it kept me guessing throughout the whole book. I just found out that they are making a movie for this book coming out in May next year.

The other book that I just finished reading was “Tribes” by Seth Godin. It was a book about leadership and it had some good illustrations and some good perspectives into things. There wasn’t really any radically new ideas for leadership but it still was a good book and it still got me thinking about different aspects of leadership in a different way. It was a short book and a real easy read.

Both of the books were good and I would recommend them both. Now I have to find a book to read next. Any Suggestions?

  1. His Dark Materials (really good)
    The Notebook
The Five People You Meet In Heaven (excellent)

  2. Well, at the risk of shameless self promotion, I recommend by latest book on leadership – Leadership: Texas Hold ’em Style. If you do, we would appreciate a review on Amazon, as well as your blog. You can find more information on the book on the companion website at http://www.pokerleadership.com

  3. here’s some choices:

    Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis
    NEXT by Michael Crichton
Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller(or any of his books)
The Visitation by Frank Peretti(or any book by him is amazing)

  4. Time and Again, By Jack Finney
I read it in High School and it’s still one of my favorites.
It’s simply a great “time travel” adventure but set in the past without all the techno stuff to mess it up. Very unique.
